Job-related stress has been a long-standing concern in the health-care industry. Health-care workers have significantly higher rates of burnout, absenteeism, and turnover than those found in most other professions.
Tai Sophia Institute, recognized as a preeminent academic institution for wellness-based education, is pleased to offer a workshop exclusively designed for health-care professionals and health-care human resource staff to learn new and effective ways to care for themselves including nutritional and herbal support, to be proactive in managing stress triggers, and to be more effective in building relationships with their patients.
Fee: Tuition for this program is sponsored by a grant from the Columbia Foundation for direct service health-care practitioners and human resource staff who are employed by nonprofit health-care organizations in Howard County, Maryland. Interested participants outside of Howard County or employed with a for-profit organization may enroll at a nominal fee of $25.

The Meeting Point Bookstore, located adjacent to Tai Sophia’s lobby, is pleased to present Debra Kaatz, author of Characters of Wisdom and Receiving Spirit, for a booksigning event.
Debra Kaatz is a Chinese medicine healer, writer, musician and gardener. She lives in southern France in a stone house she built herself from four ruined walls. It is surrounded by beautiful healing gardens where she traditionally makes various healing remedies. She loves writing and doing research.

Redefine your fear with courage, your upsets, your relationships, your career, your life, your future as well as your health.
Redefining Health is a program that addresses life’s questions and puts the unknowing in a context that is at once simple and profound. Participants from around the nation and around the globe have reported that this program has influenced their lives by giving them an empowering, effective framework for daily living.
