Ms. Larson will discuss the physiology of cancer as well as its energetic aspects. Drawing from her clinical experience treating cancer patients along with the collective experience of Tai Sophia Institute practitioners and published scientific studies, she will discuss and answer questions about how acupuncture can:
  • support and re-balance the body,
  • alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation,
  • address the emotional aspects of living with cancer for both the patient and loved ones, and
  • support health and wellness post-treatment.

Learn which types of foods, preparation techniques, and meals best support overall health and nutrition during the fall months. Autumn is the time of harvest. Learn ways to preserve herbs, fruits, and vegetables (with drying, freezing and pickling), so they can be incorporated into meals all fall and winter long. Go home with four easy, healthy recipes that incorporate seasonal produce.

Above the Changing Landscape,” a collection of aerial photography by Baltimore, Maryland photographer Peter Stern, opens Thursday, September 2 at Tai Sophia’s Himmelfarb Art Gallery. Learn more.

About the Artist:
Peter Stern has had a number of solo exhibitions in Baltimore, MD, as well as having aerial photographs exhibited at the Schwenkfelder Library and Heritage Center in Pennsylvania and the Smithsonian Institute’s Air and Space Museum (Washington, DC). Article about his aerial photography have appeared in Ultraflight and Powered Sport Aviation magazines.

This evening event introduces Qi Gong. Qi Gong opens energy flow by reducing or eliminating blockages, rigidity, and disease through gentle physical movements and synchronized breathing. This form easily accommodates a beginner with limited flexibility as well as the advanced student. Attendees will learn how Qi Gong improves physical health and wellness, watch a demonstration of Qi Gong, and have the opportunity to try Qi Gong movements.
