From a small healing arts clinic founded in 1975, Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia Institute) has grown to become a preeminent academic institution for health and wellness. Our integration of Eastern and Western thinking has empowered and transformed individuals, organizations, and communities.
Our graduates learn about building a clinical practice, being a healing presence, and being a catalyst for change in all domains of life. Students come to us from many different paths and use the knowledge and experience they gain here to bring renewed passion to a career they have already chosen or, more often, to reach out into a new direction.
