Master of Arts in Applied Healing Arts.
The Master of Arts in Applied Healing Arts is a groundbreaking program designed for both established and developing healthcare professionals, business executives, and community leaders. Our graduates gain the knowledge and skills to create positive change in their personal lives, in the workplace, and in the larger world.

Industry Overview
In recent years the industries of wellness, personal development, stress management, coaching, and corporate leadership training have grown exponentially. As new models for transformation emerge, there is a growing need for trained consultants and leaders to facilitate social change.
For years, members of the Tai Sophia community have asked how they can learn the philosophy and practice of healing, and apply it to their own personal and professional lives without being trained in a specific healing modality. In 2002, we answered that question by launching the Master of Arts in Applied Healing Arts program.
Program Overview
This groundbreaking degree program is designed for both established and developing healthcare professionals, business executives, educators, and community leaders.
Our graduates gain the knowledge and skills necessary to create positive change in their personal lives, in the workplace, and in the larger world.
As a result, they are equipped with solutions-based models to stimulate healing and creative influences.
This three-year program is delivered in an executive weekend format, offering convenience and appeal for professionals in many diverse fields. A hallmark of the program is its transformative nature, which is both life-changing and empowering.
During their coursework, students are given specific practices to carry out on a daily basis; these practices serve as a foundation for learning effective skills that can be applied to all aspects of life.
Examples of such practices include:
- Observation - cultivating skills, such as deep listening, which enable the observation of phenomenon from a neutral viewpoint.
- Acceptance - letting go of assumptions, expectations, and emotions that limit possibility; honoring the uniqueness of each moment and individual.
- Partnership - consciously using language and presence to nurture meaningful relationships, manage challenging conversations, and facilitate collaboration.
