Students who successfully complete Tai Sophia Institute’s new graduate certificate programs will earn 12 - 15 graduate-level academic credits. In addition, licensed and certified professional also may earn continuing education units or contact hours towards credentialing requirements for select professions.
The following list describes the current status of approvals from, or applications to, professional credentialing agencies for the following Tai Sophia graduate certificate programs:
Graduate Certificate in Health Coaching* (188 CEUs or 37.5 Contact Hours**)
For Nurses:
**This activity has been submitted to the Maryland Nurses Association for approval to award 37.5 contact hours. The Maryland Nurses Association is accredited as an approver of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
For Social Workers:
Tai Sophia is an Authorized Sponsor through the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners to provide Category One Continuing Education.
For Dietitians:
Tai Sophia coursework is accepted by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for Continuing Professional Education Units.
For Acupuncturists:
Tai Sophia has been recognized by the Maryland Acupuncture Board to provide Continuing Education Units for licensed acupuncturists.
*The Graduate Certificate programs in Health Coaching and Wellness Coaching are pending approval to become International Coach Federation (ICF) Training Programs. Students who complete an ICF approved training program will have completed all the classroom hours necessary to apply to become an ICF certified coach.
Graduate Certificate in Herbal Studies (150 CEUs or 37.5 Contact Hours**)
